Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Start Date: ASAP - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - FS Job Details: • Provide nursing care to patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex • Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients • Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments • Assist physicians in patient examinations and minor diagnostic procedures • Obtain and monitor physiological data, observe patient manifestations and intervene when necessary • Administer medications as prescribed and manage IV infusions and blood products • Interact with patients and families regarding care plans during hospitalization and discharge • Make referrals for patient care needs to appropriate personnel • Delegate tasks to support staff • Schedule notes indicate SD and MS required • 1 year of nursing experience required • Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required • Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred • Current Oklahoma RN License or multistate compact RN License (eNLC) required • Current Basic Life Support certification from American Heart Association required • Strong verbal and written communication skills needed • Computer skills required • Ability to respond effectively to cultural and language needs of patients and visitors Facility: This major academic medical center serves as a comprehensive healthcare facility providing advanced medical services and specialized care.
