We specialize in custom-engineered solutions, transformer services, and switchgear manufacturing. Southwest Electric Co. Is looking for a Repair Technician for our Tulsa Field Service location. Repair Technician Field Service Summary:Perform any/all substation equipment maintenance and repair activities with minimal oversight.Must understand substation equipment and components functionality, maintenance requirements and repair processes.Operate oil processing rig to recondition insolating oil in high voltage equipment (transformers).Repair Technician Field Service Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:Must have a working knowledge of required substation maintenance and repair activities.Inspect, repair and maintain substation equipment, such as oil circuit breakers and transformers.Tests oil in circuit breakers and transformers for dielectric strength.Travel to site and set up processing rig by running hose to transformer being processed.Must be willing and able to travel on overnight, multi-day, out of town jobs and work regular overtime including nights, weekends and some holidays. Requirements:Repair Technician Field Service Qualifications:Ability to pass a pre-employment DOT drug screen, and physical.Complete a satisfactory nationwide criminal background check.Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.Ability to lift 50 + lbs., climb ladders, walk, and stand or sit for extended periods of time.Repair Technician Field Service Education and/or Experience:High School Diploma or GED REQUIRED3 years direct industry experience maintaining and repairing substation equipment.Experience driving oil processing rig preferred.Electrical theory education and/or mechanical maintenance education preferred.Training in a Technical discipline is a plus.Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:Class A CDL Preferred What We Offer 401k with a company match- Company vehicle- Weekly pay- Health, dental, vision insurance and Short-Term Disability Insurance.
