Plains is currently seeking a seeking a Full Time Nurse
Practitioner or Physician Assistant to work at our Health Center in
Tulsa, Oklahoma. The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant will
function in an expanded role as the primary provider of medical
services. This position provides direct care to patients seeking
family planning, gender affirming care, and primary care. The NP/PA
works to assess the clinical needs of patients, in compliance with
our medical standards & guidelines, including ordering,
interpreting, and recording results of clinical tests. Prescribes
medications and makes recommendations for other forms of treatment,
including birth control. For the protection of patients, team
members and all who enter our facilities, PPGP has made the
decision to require COVID-19 vaccination for all team members,
unless granted medical or religious exemption, as a condition of
employment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Fully committed
to Planned Parenthood’s mission to support the rights of
individuals regarding family planning and reproductive health care.
Provides quality health care services including exams, diagnosis,
treatment, education and counseling for clients in accordance with
PPGP protocols and our Medical Standards & Guidelines. Serves as a
medical resource for other licensed and non-licensed staff, as well
as providing leadership in all aspects of comprehensive clinical
services. Secures a complete health history, including gynecologic,
contraceptive, medical, surgical, sexual, family health, and
psychosocial; and records findings accurately and succinctly.
Performs physical examinations with special emphasis on the
reproductive system, including breast examinations, pelvic
examination, cancer screening tests, diagnosis of sexually
transmitted infections (STIs), and other types of more specialized
procedures as may be indicated by medical policy. After observation
and approval, provides direct medical care to patients for all core
services, including but not limited to family planning services.
Participates in accomplishing customer-focused goals. Provides
referrals and assures follow-up. Performs, orders and interprets
diagnostic studies as indicated and permitted by affiliate medical
protocols. Consults with Medical Director and other Clinicians to
ensure compliance with standards and guidelines. Provides relevant
health instruction to include family planning, nutrition, sexual
counseling, and principles of health promotion and maintenance.
Qualifications Valid Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
license in Oklahoma is required Ability to work some Saturdays
Ability to travel to health center locations Oklahoma One - three
years of provider experience required. Experience with electronic
medical records systems Epic experience is a plus. Bilingual
fluency a plus. $55 - $60 an hour Work Week is 37.5 hours Sign on
bonus is payable in two installments: $2,500 at the end of 60 days
of successful employment and $5,000 after 12 months of successful
employment. Annual Paid Time Off: Vacation - 112.5 hours, Sick
Leave - 48 hours, Holidays - 105 hours which includes a full
holiday week in December. Parental Leave: After 12 months of
full-time employment, employees are eligible for paid parental
