Job Description ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 03/23/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: /n RN - Med Surg /n/n Job Details: /n • Work on medical/surgical unit caring for patients pre and post-surgical services /n• Patient ratios are 5:1 for surgical patients and 3:1 for step-down area /n• Provide nursing care for patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex /n• Care for patients post-operatively with new drains, wounds, trachs, ostomies, NGT or DHT /n• Must have acute care surgical floor experience with step-down/PCU experience required /n• ENT and/or transplant experience preferred /n• OR candidates will not be accepted for this position /n• Monitor physiological data and intervene when necessary /n• Administer medications as prescribed and manage IV infusions and blood products /n• Document patient responses to nursing interventions and medical treatments /n• Assist physicians with examinations and minor diagnostic procedures /n• Interact with patients and families regarding care plans and discharge instructions /n• Delegate tasks to support staff and make referrals for patient care needs /n• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required /n• Associate's Degree in Nursing from accredited program required /n• Current RN License issued by Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or multistate compact license /n• Current Basic Life Support certification from American Heart Association required /n• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with diverse patient populations /n/n Facility: /n This major academic medical center serves as a premier healthcare institution providing comprehensive medical services and advanced surgical care.
