Health experience is preferred Description: Provides clinical
patient care, including screenings, evaluations, and treatments
related to Speech Language Pathology. Documents diagnostic
evaluations, treatment plans, discharge summaries, recommendations,
progress reports, daily treatment records, and home programs.
Utilizes opportunities to promote speech pathology and physical
medicine through appropriate formal and informal activities.
Provides educational training to staff and the community as
requested. Delivers clinical patient care for a diverse range of
diagnoses, disorders, and age groups. Utilizes time efficiently,
meeting or exceeding departmental standards. Prioritizes workload
to assist team members during overload or emergency situations.
Updates or develops state-of-the-art evaluation or treatment
protocols. Keeps supervisor informed of departmental equipment
needs. Ensures written documentation meets professional and
regulatory standards. Provides documentation to requesting
agencies, including healthcare professionals and insurance
companies. Assists in the development of marketing materials with
supervisor approval. Maintains professional competence and
expertise in speech language pathology. Attends 95% of all
scheduled departmental and team meetings. Assists with performance
improvement as directed by supervisor. Serves as a professional
role model to peers. Orients, supervises, and evaluates practicum
students and graduate interns as requested by supervisor. Conducts
non-routine procedures under changing conditions in accordance with
general instructions from supervisor. Coordinates activities with
others and works directly with patients and customers. Interacts
with internal and external healthcare professionals and staff.
Demonstrates the ability to effectively present information and
respond to questions from patients and families. Possesses the
ability to read, analyze, and interpret professional journals,
technical procedures, or regulations. Utilizes basic computer
knowledge for data input and reporting as needed. Requirements
Required for Onboarding BLS Skills Checklist Specialty Exam
