Provide direct and individualized nursing care to long-term acute care patients Assess patients’ condition during every visit and chart your observations Administer medications as prescribed by the patient’s physician Provide ventilation management and other advanced respiratory support Monitor and adjust specialized equipment used on patients, and interpret and record electronic displays Implement physician’s orders, administer medications, keep accurate documentation as required by specific LTAC policies and comply with the prescribed treatments and interventions Communicate with the doctor timely and efficiently Educate patients and their families on the disease processes, medical-surgical procedures, and other aspects of therapeutic regimens, including medication and pain management techniques Strong nursing skills and proficiency in handling complex patient situations High emotional intelligence to manage both emotional and physical stress Skillful in using medical software and electronic health records Excellent communication and teamwork capabilities Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Oklahoma BLS certification ACLS preferred
