Interventional Radiology Experience with conscious sedation
monitoring Description: The Registered Nurse will work in the
Interventional Radiology department. The role involves monitoring
patients under conscious sedation for various procedures. The RN
will cover shifts that include weekend call responsibilities. This
position requires participation in call rotations every sixth
weekend. The unit consists of multiple labs, including those for
neurointervention procedures. The workload includes managing care
for up to 20 invasive cases daily. Healthcare teams in the unit
provide interdisciplinary support. The RN will be responsible for
ensuring patient safety during invasive procedures under sedation.
Specialized skills in interventional radiology procedures are
essential for this role. While pediatric experience is not
required, PALS certification is necessary. Candidates should be
prepared to float to similar units when necessary based on facility
needs. All certifications must be valid and current at the time of
