CT Tech Location: Tulsa, OK Agency: Cynet Health Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Start Date: ASAP About the Position Job Title: CT Technologist Profession: CT Technologist Specialty: - Duration: Direct Hire Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 0 - 6 months related experience License: Registration from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certifications: CT registry preferred Must-Have: Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology Program. Description: Operates computed tomography (CT) equipment to produce cross-sectional images of the patient's body for diagnostic purposes. Performs diagnostic CT examinations according to departmental policies and protocols. Includes screening, preparing, and positioning patients for CT procedures with reference to diagnoses and body parts. Knowledgeable of all CT equipment including the laser camera. Evaluates CT studies for quality and completeness. Utilizes advanced image manipulations such as 3D rendering, reformation, and reconstruction. Understands image display and filming options. Recognizes and rectifies CT imaging and filming problems. Sends images to PACS system, evaluates the exam for completeness, and verifies the exam in a timely manner. Develops a working knowledge of all PACS capabilities. Maintains accurate documentation on logbook worksheets and charging of examinations and all supplies. Appropriately administers contrast media as directed by the Radiologist. Maintains radiation safety for patients, staff, and family members of patients. Is responsive to patients' physical and psychological needs. Keeps patients informed. Explains all procedures in a clear and concise manner without causing unnecessary anxiety. Listens to and answers patients' questions with patience and courtesy. Seeks advice from appropriate resources when unsure of protocol or policy. Maintains a clean and appropriately supplied work area. Exercises independent judgment in planning the sequence of operations and making minor decisions in a complex technical field. Works directly with patients and/or customers. Interacts with internal customers via telephone or face-to-face interaction. Interacts with external customers via telephone or face-to-face interaction. Collaborates with other healthcare professionals and staff.
