Interventional Radiology Location: Oklahoma City, OK Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $3,152 per week Shift Information: Days - 4 days x 10 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Job Title: Interventional Technologist I Profession: Interventional Technologist Specialty: FS Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: Entry-level, competency in specialized cardiovascular and/or radiologic technology services License: Required certifications include one of the following: - ARDMS - Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) - ARDMS - Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) - ARRT - Vascular Interventional Radiography ARRT - Cardiac Interventional Radiography - ARRT Radiography - CCI - Registered Congenital Cardiac Sonographer (RCCS) - CCI - Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) - CCI - Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) - CCI - Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) - BLS Certifications: Required certifications as listed above Must-Have: - Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions - Sensitivity to patients' physical and psychological needs - Maintain accurate records and work accurately with names, numbers, and codes - Draw conclusions and make appropriate recommendations - Exercise discretion in handling confidential information and demonstrate sound judgment - Multi-task and remain calm in stressful situations - Understanding of various operations, policies, and procedures - Communicate with staff, patients, and their families in a professional and courteous manner - Demonstrate a high level of initiative and commitment towards completing assignments efficiently - Work with minimum supervision and display attention to detail - Core knowledge of normal and abnormal anatomy and physiology Description: Under immediate to general supervision and direction of a mentor/preceptor, this entry-level position works to achieve the initial competencies required to deliver specialized cardiovascular and/or radiologic technology services to adult and/or pediatric patient populations. The role aids medical staff in the diagnosis, care, treatment, and surveillance of simple to complex conditions, defects, and diseases. Utilizing entry-level knowledge, abilities, skills, and available resources, the position provides safe, high-quality, efficient, and cost-effective patient-centric care and support services under routine or emergent conditions. Prepares patients for procedures and correlates clinical history with procedures ordered by physicians. Communicates and collaborates with patients, families, and other members of the multidisciplinary care team to identify and implement necessary actions to achieve clinical outcomes. Utilizes specialized cardiovascular and/or radiologic equipment and techniques to perform a diverse range of diagnostic, interventional, and/or surgical procedures according to established scope of practice guidelines. Conducts post-procedure reviews to confirm that all required elements are completed, documented, and technical quality meets established department protocols and/or applicable accreditation standards. Transfers images and data to appropriate archival systems and prepares studies for reporting by physicians. Performs operator-level quality control checks, cleaning, high-level disinfection, and other user maintenance per manufacturer instructions and regulatory guidelines. Participates in continuing education, professional development, and research activities to maintain competencies and promote continuous improvements in care and treatments.
