Job Description:
Mercy Hospital Watonga Department: Med/Surg Status: Part-Time,
Flexible Schedule Shift : Varies/Rotating BeAMercyNurse Overview:
We are a Critical access hospital with 30 Swing beds along with our
Emergency department. We work together to restore patients to their
highest level of independence in preparation to return home after
hospitalization. We are a multi-disciplinary team that strives to
bring that personal touch to healthcare, and serve the rural area
of Watonga, OK. Qualifications: Education: Graduate of an
accredited practical nursing program; Consideration will be given
for comparable education experience and successful licensure.
Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining
a current LPN license within the hiring state in which nursing
duties are performed and must meet all State Board of Nursing
requirements Preferred Qualifications: Certification(s): NOTE: one
or more of the certifications below may be required based on the
position/unit hired to, or acquisition of certification within
department required timeframe: ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) PEARS (Pediatric Assessment
Recognition and Stabilization) S.T.A.B.L.E. (Sugar, Temperature,
Airway, Blood Pressure, Lab Work, And Emotional Support) Six
Assessment & Care Modules BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
through the American Heart Association or successful completion of
course within 30 days of hire IV Certification within 1 year of
hire Other unit-specific certifications as required. Physical
Requirements: Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or
lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis. Position requires prolonged
standing and walking during each shift. Position requires the
ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform
