Pay Information $1,876 per week About The Position Job Title: RN Medical/Surgical Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Medical/Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year License: State Nursing License Certifications: BLS Must-Have: Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, ability to work with minimal supervision, capacity to function in a stressful environment. Description: Provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the healthcare organization. Implements and monitors patient care plans. Monitors, records, and communicates patient conditions as appropriate. Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care. Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders. Assesses and coordinates patient discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team. Requires critical thinking skills and decisive judgment. Must be able to work with minimal supervision. Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required. The department serves adult patients and is equipped with cardiac telemetry and continuous pulse oximeter capabilities. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:5-6. Support is provided by Patient Care Technicians and a Healthcare Unit Coordinator.
