supervision, provides nursing care in a hospital to a variety of
patients with health problems ranging from simple to
complex./n/nEssential Responsibilities:/nResponsibilities listed in
this section are core to the position. Inability to perform these

assigned group of patients./nDocuments patient responses to nursing
interventions and prescribed medical treatments; notes all changes
in physician order on assigned patients./nAssists physician in the
examination of patients and in performing minor diagnostic
procedures and treatment./nObtains and monitors physiological data
of patients, observes the physiological manifestations of patients
and intervenes when necessary./nAdministers medication as
prescribed. Initiates, regulates and monitors intravenous infusions
and blood products./nDelivers patient care competently./nInteracts
with family and patient in sharing care plan while in the hospital
and at time of discharge./nInforms patient and family of hospital
procedures./nMakes referral regarding patient care needs to
appropriate personnel./nDelegates tasks to support
staff./n/nGeneral Responsibilities:/nPerforms other duties as
assigned./nSkills:/tExperience: N/A/n/nKnowledge, Skills and
Abilities:/nKnowledge of professional nursing theory, practices,
techniques and procedures./nAbility to organize, plan, coordinate
and evaluate nursing services and apply nursing
techniques./nAbility to maintain good working relationships with
other employees./nGood verbal and written communication
skills./nAbility to respond effectively to cultural and language
needs of patients and visitors./nSome computer
skills./nEducation:/tEducation:/nGraduate from an accredited school
of nursing required./nBachelor of Science (or higher) in Nursing
Board Approved Program
preferred./n/nLicense(s)/Certification(s)/Registration(s)
Required:/nCurrent RN License issued by the Oklahoma State Board of
Nursing, or a current multistate compact RN License
(eNLC)./nCurrent Basic Life Support issued by the American Heart
