Job Title: MRI Technologist Profession: Clinical Technician

Philips and GE experience preferred License: Eligible for MRI
Certification within 12 months of hire Certifications: AHA BLS
Must-Have: - Graduate of CAAHEP accredited educational program in a
primary cardiovascular specialty or JRCERT accredited educational
program in radiologic technology. - Skill in applying principles of
cardiovascular and/or radiologic technology, medical imaging, and
medical terminology. - Ability to work as part of a team and follow
instructions. - Ability to maintain accurate records. - Ability to
handle confidential information discreetly. - Ability to work and
communicate in a professional and compassionate manner.
Description: Under immediate to general supervision and direction
of a mentor/preceptor, this entry-level position works to achieve
the initial competencies required to deliver specialized
cardiovascular and/or radiologic technology services to pediatric
patients. The role aids medical staff in the diagnosis, care,
treatment, and surveillance of simple to complex conditions,
defects, and diseases. Utilizes entry-level knowledge and skills to
provide safe, high-quality, efficient, and cost-effective
patient-centric care and support services under routine or emergent
conditions. Prepares patients for procedures and correlates
clinical history with procedures ordered by physicians.
Communicates and collaborates with patients, families, and other
members of the multidisciplinary care team to achieve clinical
outcomes and operational goals. Utilizes specialized cardiovascular
and/or radiologic equipment and techniques to perform a range of
diagnostic, interventional, and/or surgical procedures in
accordance with established guidelines. Conducts post-procedure
reviews with or without a preceptor to confirm that all required
elements are documented and that technical quality meets
established standards. Transfers images and data to appropriate
archival systems and prepares studies for reporting by physicians.
Performs operator-level quality control checks, cleaning, and
maintenance of equipment per manufacturer instructions and
regulatory guidelines. Participates in continuing education and
professional development to maintain competencies and promote
continuous improvement in care and treatments. Must display a high
level of initiative, effort, and commitment towards completing
assignments efficiently. Ability to work with minimum supervision
and demonstrate attention to detail is essential. Core knowledge of
normal and abnormal anatomy and physiology is required. Ability to
analyze and annotate study data with general supervision or
assistance is necessary.
