Position Overview
The Director of Facility Management is responsible for leading the district's Facility Management department, overseeing management, supervision, and professional direction of the organization. The role involves effective communication within the department and district, supporting educational processes through maintenance of facilities, equipment, and grounds, and hiring, developing, and retaining qualified staff.
Essential Job Functions

  • Manage daily operations of the Facility Management department safely and efficiently.
  • Oversee a complex budget and make operational decisions.
  • Collaborate on facility planning, space administration, and strategic usage.
  • Manage maintenance, repairs, and oversee contracts and agreements.
  • Lead and support the Facility Management team, ensuring proper training.
  • Prepare RFPs and manage facility-related projects.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution; facility management-related discipline preferred.
  • Minimum of three years' experience in facility management or educational leadership.
  • Strong communication, mediation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with office systems and databases.
  • Team building and personnel development skills.
  • Valid Oklahoma driver's license and safe vehicle operation.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent organizational and customer service skills.

    Working Conditions
    Physical effort required, including lifting 10-50 lbs., prolonged sitting, standing, walking, and visual concentration. Punctuality and reliable attendance are essential. Reasonable accommodations will be provided as needed.
    Employment Details
    Full-time, exempt, twelve-month contract with annual renewal. Typical hours are Monday-Friday, 8 am - 4:30 pm, with some evenings as needed.
