Supervision and Leadership: Lead and supervise a team of
scaffolders, ensuring that work is completed on time and to
specification. Delegate tasks to crew members based on their skills
and experience. Foster a collaborative and positive work
environment, addressing any team issues promptly. Scaffolding
Installation & Removal: Oversee the construction and dismantling of
scaffolding structures, ensuring that all systems (tube and clamp,
system scaffolding, etc.) meet safety and quality standards. Ensure
proper materials are being used and that scaffolding is erected
according to project specifications, drawings, and industry codes.
Safety Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to all safety
guidelines and regulations (OSHA, local regulations, and company
safety protocols). Conduct regular safety checks and ensure all
crew members are using appropriate personal protective equipment
(PPE). Train and mentor crew members on safe scaffolding practices
and hazard recognition. Quality Control and Inspections: Ensure the
integrity and stability of scaffolding systems throughout the
project by conducting regular inspections. Identify and correct any
discrepancies or defects in the scaffold structure. Monitor and
ensure scaffolding is safely accessed and used by workers on-site.
Site Coordination: Act as the primary point of contact for project
supervisors, project managers, and other site leadership.
Coordinate scaffolding needs and scheduling with other trades and
personnel to ensure efficient workflow. Report any issues, delays,
or resource shortages to the project manager or superintendent in a
timely manner. Training and Development: Provide on-the-job
training for less experienced scaffolders and crew members. Mentor
team members in both technical skills and safety procedures. Assist
in developing training programs or materials to enhance team
competencies. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate daily
logs of work performed, manpower used, materials consumed, and
equipment status. Document any incidents, safety concerns, or
delays in a timely manner. Assist with project documentation
required for compliance and reporting. Resource Management: Ensure
the proper maintenance and storage of scaffolding equipment and
materials. Help ensure tools and materials are available when
needed, managing material delivery, and inventory Qualifications
and Education Requirements Experience and Skills: Minimum of 7
years of experience in scaffolding or industrial construction.
Previous experience as a Leadman or Foreman on scaffolding projects
is highly preferred. Proficiency in the construction of various
scaffolding systems (tube and clamp, system scaffolding, etc.).
Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and other safety standards
related to scaffolding. Excellent leadership, organizational, and
communication skills. Ability to read and interpret construction
drawings, blueprints, and specifications. Certifications
(Preferred): Scaffolding Competent Person certification or
equivalent. OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety certification.
Physical Requirements Ability to work in various weather conditions
and physically demanding environments. Ability to lift heavy
materials and climb scaffolds and ladders. Must be able to work in
confined spaces and at heights, wearing appropriate PPE. Ability to
stand, bend, crouch, and lift objects as required by the job. The
employee must be able to perform the essential functions of the job
with or without reasonable workplace accommodation. The individual
must also be able to wear and properly utilize appropriate personal
protective equipment (PPE) to work or visit within areas where it
is required. This includes hard hat, safety glasses/spoggles,
respirators, ear plugs, steel toed shoes, or other protective
equipment as required by the work performed and location the work
