Job Details Job Details: We are seeking a highly motivated,
experienced and detail-oriented Senior Corporate Accountant for a
permanent position in our dynamic energy company. This role is
pivotal in our Finance Department as it involves handling
high-level accounting, managerial accounting, and oversees the
financial activities of the company. The ideal candidate will have
a strong understanding of Fixed Asset Accounting, Financials,
external audits, Auditing, account reconciliations, and G&A
analysis. CPA is highly preferred. The Senior Corporate Accountant
will also play a key role in implementing financial systems,
ensuring the efficiency and accuracy of our financial operations.
Responsibilities: Manage and oversee all aspects of accounting
operations including, but not limited to, fixed assets, general
ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and account reconciliations.
Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial
statements and reports ensuring accuracy and compliance with
established accounting standards and procedures. Lead and
coordinate external audits, ensuring all audit issues are addressed
and resolved in a timely manner. Perform G&A analysis and
provide strategic financial insights for the management team.
Implement and manage financial systems, ensuring the efficiency,
accuracy, and integrity of data. Stay updated with industry trends
and current accounting practices, ensuring the company's financial
policy remains compliant. Collaborate with other departments to
support overall department and company goals and objectives.
Provide support in budget preparation and financial planning
processes. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local
financial and legal requirements by studying existing and new
legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising
management on needed actions. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in
Accounting, Finance, or related field is required. An advanced
degree is preferred. CPA certification is highly preferred. Minimum
of 5 years of related work experience in corporate accounting or
finance, preferably in the energy industry. Extensive knowledge and
experience in Fixed Asset Accounting, Financials, external audits,
Auditing, account reconciliations, and G&A analysis. Proven
experience in implementing financial systems. Excellent knowledge
of accounting regulations and procedures, including GAAP. Strong
analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills. Excellent
verbal and written communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft
Office Suite and advanced knowledge of accounting software. Strong
attention to detail, with an ability to spot numerical errors.
Ability to work independently, manage large, complex projects, and
meet deadlines. Strong leadership skills with an ability to inspire
